Race number #2 of the 2014 duathlon series. The weather on Saturday was breezy so we were hoping for some better weather. With the time change Saturday night we were exhausted losing that hour sleep :( But we got up bright and early and got ourselves ready for the race. It was chilly at 6:45am too, darn that time change! The weather was definitely better than Saturday though, thankfully! The sunrise was beautiful coming up behind us. The race itself was... ok. Both …

Cycling – training for duathlon
One of the things I wanted to do before the next duathlon (March 9th) is to get some bike training done. I'm pretty happy with how I ran at the last duathlon on Feb 9th but I just didn't feel confident on the bike at all. Yes granted it was only my third time on the bike, and Bob had to replace the tubes and crank just days before the race so I had every right not to feel 100% with the bike really. So after the last duathlon one thing I said to Bob was that I wanted to get more bike time. Well …
Race Recap: Camarillo Duathlon 2014 #1 – February
In October 2013 we did our first duathlon and it was so much fun, hard but fun! We knew we wanted to do it again and Elite Sports Ventura County has a series of duathlons throughout the year that we knew we wanted to do as many as possible in 2014. That meant signing up for February, March and Aprils events, as well as becoming a USAT member! As always the goal with ANY race is to push to finish and beat your own previous time. As this course is the same as last years it's a great way to …
Race Recap: Camarillo Duathlon
So Sunday we woke up at the crack of dawn (actually before dawn!) to go to our first duathlon. We left the house at 6:45 am after grabbing some breakfast on our way to Camarillo. We arrived around 7:25 for our race which was due to start at 8:20. Why get there so early? Because the roads would be closed off around 7:30 so we just scraped in under the wire ;) When we parked up we got the bikes off the truck and set them up at the transition area.... this is where we discovered we were part of the …

My first Fabletics outfit
Back in June I was in the gym and saw a member with the most awesome outfit. Like something you see in magazines. When I asked her where she got her outfit from? Her answer: "Fabletics". In July I got to see Fabletics at the IDEA World Fitness Convention and almost bought some of the clothes but decided as I'd already spent a small fortune on clothing to wait... and I did wait, till the end of August when I signed up to get my first Fabletics outfit for extremely cheap and couldn't …
Thanksgiving 5k race recap
I really hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving here in the USA, and didn't get trampled in the black friday shopping. Here at Workout With Di central we did something different this thanksgiving and kicked off our day of overeating (and drinking) with a 5k turkey trot. The thanksgiving 5k was organized by Elite Sports Venture County who d a lot of events locally so we were pretty happy to get a 5k on Thanksgiving that was literally a 5 minute drive from our house, less than that really. Despite …
